Ah, we don't have those up here in Ontario. Only highway we have to pay to use is the 407 and it just snaps a pic of your license plate as you merge onto it. The bill just comes in the mail.

That’s a pretty nice system. Unfortunately, road conditions here are appalling, the tolls are stupid high to collect money to keep things drivable, but people protest the toll hikes, then the transit authorities can’t keep up, it’s a never ending cycle. Our roads are just shit down here. No other way to say it.

It is a good system but the 407 is made of mostly concrete so it’s an absolute nightmare once the snow hits. Also, we spend a lot on road work here in southern Ontario so they are never too bad to drive on except we have horrible rush hour traffic in the Toronto area, where I work.
